NATS have confirmed Jotron`s new series of Digital Multimode Ground to Air radios have been successfully deployed to upgrade communications at Stansted and Manchester Airports.
Stansted completed successful Site acceptance in July 2009 with18 RA-7203 Receivers with Manchester following in September 2009 with 20 RA-7650 Transmitters and 7 TR-7750 Transceivers. Jotron supplied a full project package to both airports, with the system built into 7 equipment cabinets coupled with Factory AcceptanceTest, Site Acceptance Test and Training. The equipment supplied also used the RACS remote control and monitoring software.
Jotron have supplied radios in the past to NATS namely the en route project. This is the first project with NATS deploying the new 7000 digital multimode series of base stations.
